COVID-19 has really put a damper on wedding plans this year and this was no different for Caryn and Allen. Like a lot of other couples, so many parts of their original wedding plans had to be modified, cut, modified again, or moved. Plus, because 2020 has been so fun (*cough cough), life threw them so many additional curve balls along the way, even up to the last moment. However, nothing can overcome the power of love! They decided on just a few hours of photo coverage for what ultimately became such a perfect wedding.

These two started with an extremely thoughtful and intimate ceremony at the chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church. The church has done a wonderful job of trying to keep everyone safe during these times by requiring everyone but the couple to wear masks inside, along with a limit on guest attendance and seating. A beautiful song was preformed mid-ceremony right outside the doors to further keep with COVID guidelines. The result was a beautifully strong and special connection between those present and the actual moment — one so much harder to accomplish with a large guest list.

After a few photos on the lovely church property, as well as some downtown, Caryn and Allen celebrated their commitment with a small (but perfectly-sized) dinner at Mark’s Prime Steakhouse. The setting allowed for them to easily talk to all of their guests, while also enjoying their amazingly prepared meal (ask most couple if they remember eating at their wedding and I bet they don’t!), the toasts, and their cake. Simple, elegant, and I did I mention…perfect!
