My brother-in-law and his wife first met at The Swamp Restaurant and since I love those two dearly (and their amazing two daughters, my nieces), I always get excited about others who did the same.

Well it turns out, that’s where Betsy and Nick first met years ago too! Clearly these two are awesome and so I was super excited about getting to photograph their engagement session.

For their engagement photos we wanted a very outdoor Florida vibe and so settled on taking the photos at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park, where there are a lot of beautiful oaks. Between rain, mosquitos, gnats, heat and humidity, and even several deer(!), we definitely got a truly, full-on Florida summer experience – but these two are such troopers, you would have never been able to tell from the final engagement images that we were doing some well-timed dodging and swatting (between laughing of course). I love working with couples that are so chill and up for anything. Plus, we even got to add their sweet dog, Gus, for some of the images.

Betsy and Nick, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next spring!
