What’s more bada** than a brewery wedding, you ask? A carbon neutral brewery wedding! That’s right, through the same local organization that I use to make the photo business carbon neutral, We Are Neutral, Anna and Devin were able to offset carbon emissions of their wedding day. My tree-hugger heart loves them so much for thinking about doing that. (Full disclosure, Anna is the director of We Are Neutral, but they would have thought of something like this even if she wasn’t. They are just that kind of wonderful and thoughtful people).
Both the wedding and reception took place at the Cypress & Grove Brewing Company here in Gainesville. It’s not something the brewery tends to do a lot of so it was super special that they agreed to do it for these two and I felt lucky to be able to be the wedding photographer that day.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Anna and Devin’s engagement photos from late last year, we did a beautifully unique session where the focus was much more about being in nature than about the couple themselves. Our incredible Florida landscapes and well as images being in black and white were the inspiration behind the session, which made taking the photos that much more fun and creative for me. Anyway, even back then, Anna and Devin had mentioned having these large black and white images from their engagement session on the walls of their wedding reception and I remember thinking how cool that would look. Um, pretty much the understatement of the year for me. Seeing the engagement photos that I took of these two, blown up huge, and hung beautifully around the wedding and reception venue was AMAZING!!! It was like the two of them got married in an art gallery full of my images!!!
Anna and Devin, thank you again for letting me capture these special moments, and for basically making me feel like a rock star!
