Spring always brings about new beginnings and new life. For us this year, it brings a new adventure!
It’s with a lot of emotion that I am announcing that we will be moving to Gainesville, Florida at the end of this month to start a new chapter in our lives. My most wonderful and supportive partner has accepted an offer with the University of Florida and SHANDS. I couldn’t be more proud of him. We’ll also be closer to family and life-long friends.
Working in Florida won’t be completely new for me since, as some of you know, I grew up there and have offered my photography services in the Gainesville area throughout the years when I’m in town. For my Gainesville-based clients that have stuck by me for years: scheduling portrait sessions will finally be so much easier! I can’t wait to see you all and we will have to schedule a little open house party once everything gets settled.
However, it will still be a big transition moving the business full-time to Florida–getting to know the local industry and setting up shop anew. I’ve loved being in North Carolina, meeting such wonderful people and being surrounded by such beautiful landscapes to explore. It’s really felt like home and it’s with a bit of a heavy heart that I start to pack up our house that we’ve grown so fond of. I know, however, that with big changes, personal growth and new opportunities come too and I know that it doesn’t really matter where we go, love is what makes a house a home and surely we will make a wonderful new home wherever we are.
As my 2015 clients already know, I will still be coming back up to Winston-Salem throughout the year to shoot the weddings and sessions already booked with Adrienne Fletcher Photography. Nothing will change in terms of my commitment to you all and your special days! I want to say thank you to all of my North Carolina clients and industry peers that I’ve met over the last few years here. I’ve had such wonderful experiences with you all. If you’d like to be notified when I’ll be coming back to town for sessions, be sure to drop me a note on the “Contact” page.
I like to think of myself as the type of person that when “life gives me lemons,” I cut them into quarters and stick one on the rim of a full margarita glass. It’s not the lime I asked for, but it still knows how to party. You know what I mean? There’s something about a fresh start that, aside from seeming very daunting and growing your To-Do list tenfold, that just also seems invigorating and filled with new possibilities. As our moving date approaches faster than we can keep organized, I look forward to seeing what this new adventure brings.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Big hugs to all of you,
(Oh, and a hearty GO GATORS too!)
